Warren First 931: Your local hub for all things community!
[00:00:36] Good morning, Warren County. You're hanging out with your host of the show, Kelly Walker-Slaughter here at Warren First 931.
[00:00:45] And special co-host with me today is Walker Slaughter.
[00:00:49] Walker Slaughter. And of course, this is my son, Walker. He is Aaron Osborne.
[00:00:58] But he's going to help me out just a little bit today. He's still learning the ropes and he's going to do a fun job this morning.
[00:01:05] So first off, I want to tell everybody, of course, you know, today some people are going to school.
[00:01:10] Some aren't, depending on what it is. Some are doing half day. Some are doing breakfast in the mornings.
[00:01:14] And some kids are just staying home or coming on Mama's podcast show.
[00:01:20] And that is what Walker is doing right now.
[00:01:23] So what I'm going to be doing today, I am going to be doing the weather.
[00:01:27] Weather and announcements with me.
[00:01:29] Yep.
[00:01:30] So if anybody wants to give any words of encouragement to him, I do know I want to say thanks to everybody that put his name.
[00:01:38] I saw a couple of people thought that Walker Slaughter was going to be the next town talk host.
[00:01:45] I wish. I really would. Wait.
[00:01:48] That would actually.
[00:01:49] It would be neat.
[00:01:50] It would be neat if I actually was. But no, wrong guess.
[00:01:54] No, I don't want him to go there. I want him to be with his mama.
[00:01:57] But I am the new town talker right now.
[00:02:00] Yeah, you're town talking now.
[00:02:01] But it's just a different thing.
[00:02:03] Exactly.
[00:02:03] But with that said, he's going to do the weather.
[00:02:06] So here you go.
[00:02:07] Hi.
[00:02:08] Good morning, McWinville.
[00:02:09] The weather forecast for today is a mostly sunny heat of 41 and low of 31 and a high chance.
[00:02:25] Well, today we have it's just going to be just cloudy and just 31.
[00:02:32] Um, yeah, Saturday will be cloudy, but still sunny and Sunday will be all sunny.
[00:02:42] Mm hmm.
[00:02:43] And let's see.
[00:02:44] That's the you know, this is the low.
[00:02:47] Yep.
[00:02:47] And that's the high.
[00:02:48] All right.
[00:02:49] By the way, this is that was just today through Sunday.
[00:02:53] This week, we will be this week.
[00:02:57] Will we we will be having some we will not have rain.
[00:03:02] Sadly, no snow.
[00:03:04] Still waiting on that.
[00:03:06] Let's continue on to next week, which is Monday is also sunny.
[00:03:13] Tuesday is the same thing as Saturday, just cloudy, but still sunny.
[00:03:18] But on Wednesday, we will have 50 per chance of rain.
[00:03:22] Yeah, 50 percent chance of rain.
[00:03:25] Yep.
[00:03:26] Thursday, cloudy, no sun, no rain.
[00:03:29] It's just going to be cloudy.
[00:03:31] On Friday, we have a 60 percent chance of rain.
[00:03:35] Which always can ever so change.
[00:03:37] Mother Nature has a vicious thing.
[00:03:39] Yeah.
[00:03:40] So at least Wednesday, Friday and Sunday, be ready for the rain.
[00:03:46] And we on Saturday is just cloudy.
[00:03:51] But on Sunday, we have a 40 per chance of rain.
[00:03:54] There you go.
[00:03:55] And if anybody doesn't know, in less than I want to say in one day and one more day away
[00:04:00] from the first official day of winter.
[00:04:03] And of course, with all this weather coming on, and again, thanks to Reddick Brown Ford
[00:04:07] for being our weather sponsors.
[00:04:10] Again, I saw this yesterday.
[00:04:12] And of course, I said two days, but now we're saying it's one day.
[00:04:15] Okay, with all this rain and wind and chilly weather that we've been getting, that's bringing
[00:04:21] in that cold front from the north.
[00:04:23] So again, getting ready for that Christmas cheer.
[00:04:28] Don't know if we're going to see snow for by Christmas or after Christmas, but we always
[00:04:33] can hope.
[00:04:33] Right, Walt?
[00:04:34] Yep.
[00:04:35] Always can.
[00:04:35] So this is the forecast for today?
[00:04:38] Oh, we can't barely see it.
[00:04:39] You have to go up right and go like that.
[00:04:41] It's kind of hard to see.
[00:04:43] But again, be listening as we keep watching the weather for that.
[00:04:48] I still need my phone.
[00:04:50] But I want to say thank you to Topps Rosen Yogurt Metro Deli and the Cumberland Biscuit Company.
[00:04:56] They have these new mugs in.
[00:04:58] Walker's favorite color, of course, is green.
[00:05:01] I have many favorite colors, but this is adorable.
[00:05:04] It's their newest ones.
[00:05:06] It's green and yellow with this like whitish tint.
[00:05:10] I'll absolutely love it.
[00:05:13] Cheers.
[00:05:14] If you are looking for a cute little gift to give somebody this holiday season, you can
[00:05:21] get a coffee cup and then with some Caff Killer coffee.
[00:05:25] Yeah.
[00:05:26] Yeah, if they're coffee drinkers or a gift card.
[00:05:28] A gift card.
[00:05:29] And if you have friends that goes down the Cumberland Caverns, get for them.
[00:05:34] Exactly.
[00:05:35] And then they can take their cup every morning to get a fresh cup of coffee, right?
[00:05:39] Hope they don't drop it down the drain.
[00:05:41] Exactly.
[00:05:42] So with that said, just earing up to this, of course, everybody, there's a lot of big
[00:05:48] talks going on right now.
[00:05:49] So I'm going to break this down as best as I can.
[00:05:51] We're going to talk about the government shutdown, potential shutdown.
[00:05:55] Is it going to reopen?
[00:05:56] Is it, you know, there's all these things going on.
[00:05:58] And then also yesterday, we had a lot of things happen in town here in Warren County.
[00:06:03] We had the triple car wreck.
[00:06:05] And we also had a, hold on.
[00:06:12] We'll get there.
[00:06:12] And then we also had a simple taillight regular stop turn into a drug bust yesterday.
[00:06:20] So again, we have lots to talk about on the show that happened here in Warren County.
[00:06:24] And then we're going to end it with Walker talking about all the businesses and their
[00:06:29] special hours of operation during this holiday season.
[00:06:32] Because if you want to know what's going on and who is opened, Walker knows.
[00:06:37] I'm going to say that.
[00:06:38] Walker's going to let you know who's open.
[00:06:39] Because I have a drone and I'm flying.
[00:06:42] I can see everybody on this.
[00:06:44] So with that said, we're going to start with this government shutdown.
[00:06:47] Yeah, I was going to say we're going to start with this government shutdown.
[00:06:51] It is crazy.
[00:06:53] We heard about it when?
[00:06:54] This morning.
[00:06:55] Yeah.
[00:06:56] So my mom's going to talk about that.
[00:06:59] And that's it.
[00:07:00] So with that said, the House votes down the Republican bill to avert a shutdown on the
[00:07:06] eve of the deadline.
[00:07:08] So with that said, and this is all from NBC.
[00:07:12] I didn't get to watch this last night.
[00:07:14] I know some folks got to, but I did not.
[00:07:16] So the vote was 174 to 235 with one Democrat voting present and failing far short of the
[00:07:26] two thirds majority needed to pass under a fast track process.
[00:07:31] Now, two Democrats did vote for the bill and Representative Marcy Capter, a Democrat from
[00:07:39] Ohio, was the lone present vote.
[00:07:41] While the rest of the party opposed it, 38 Republicans voted against the bill and as well with conservatives
[00:07:50] saying it did not sustainably reduce federal spending.
[00:07:56] Because as we know, going into this, the Republicans are saying that there's a lot of spending going
[00:08:01] on and the Democrats saying we need to spend more money.
[00:08:04] And that's normally the humdrum of what both sides have always gone into.
[00:08:08] But with that, the House did reject the bill Thursday night to keep the government funded
[00:08:16] temporarily after the Republican leaders reneged on an earlier bipartisan deal and made modifications.
[00:08:24] So again, with that said, there's just a lot of stuff going on.
[00:08:29] We're just making sure I had to take my shoes out of the car.
[00:08:32] That is what's going on.
[00:08:34] But from what I heard this morning, somebody did also send me.
[00:08:39] Let me go back to it.
[00:08:42] Yes, sir.
[00:08:44] Hmm?
[00:08:47] What?
[00:08:48] The thing is gone.
[00:08:50] The legs.
[00:08:51] No, they're not.
[00:08:51] I see them.
[00:08:53] I see the legs.
[00:08:55] Never mind.
[00:08:56] So I just, while she's doing that.
[00:08:58] While I'm looking up this other thing because they're trying to, um, go ahead.
[00:09:01] Yeah, so I see.
[00:09:03] Missy Talaferro said, great job, Walkie.
[00:09:06] Thank you.
[00:09:07] See, it says it right there.
[00:09:08] I know, and I'm going to put it on the thing for you.
[00:09:11] Yep.
[00:09:12] It says, great job, Walkie.
[00:09:14] From Missy Talaferro.
[00:09:16] Thank you.
[00:09:17] All right.
[00:09:18] So on Fox News, uh, the House is expected to vote on a very similar matter.
[00:09:25] Stop for a sec.
[00:09:26] On a very similar matter, uh, spending bill as a partial shutdown draws closer.
[00:09:34] So, again, you can get live updates.
[00:09:36] There's several apps you can use.
[00:09:38] I have NBC, ABC, I have CNN, and I have Fox.
[00:09:42] So, and I'm looking at all of it, but last night, the list of 38 Republicans, they, they
[00:09:47] have it that voted against, uh, the bill.
[00:09:50] That's, of course, backing the Trump.
[00:09:52] Now, the debt currently sits at, good Lord.
[00:09:57] Yeah, that's loud.
[00:09:58] What?
[00:09:59] Oh, yeah.
[00:10:00] It's going to, that happens.
[00:10:01] I can't shut that off.
[00:10:02] I thought you said good Lord from that.
[00:10:04] No.
[00:10:05] Uh, the debt currently sits at $36,167,604,149,955.61 cents.
[00:10:25] What?
[00:10:26] Yeah.
[00:10:27] That's, that you, you're not, you're, you're.
[00:10:30] I'm not lying.
[00:10:31] Yeah.
[00:10:32] Oh, God.
[00:10:32] Yeah.
[00:10:33] So, the national, yeah.
[00:10:35] $36 billion dollars.
[00:10:38] The national debt tracker for the American taxpayers, which are you, are now on the hook for what
[00:10:45] that amount I just said, as of 12, 19, 2024, as of yesterday.
[00:10:51] I'll say, uh, I'll say the number real quick so you can remember.
[00:10:55] $36 billion.
[00:10:56] Trillion.
[00:10:58] Trillion?
[00:10:58] I thought it was billion.
[00:11:01] That's even higher.
[00:11:02] $36,167,604,149,095.61.
[00:11:26] That's real.
[00:11:27] It literally says it right there.
[00:11:30] If I can, I can do that.
[00:11:32] I can't.
[00:11:33] I, I, I'm not, I'm not, my legs are, my arms are, but yeah.
[00:11:37] It's kind of hard to see it.
[00:11:39] But that's where we're at right now.
[00:11:41] Like, trillion dollars?
[00:11:43] Mm-hmm.
[00:11:43] Mm-hmm.
[00:11:44] So, the U.S.
[00:11:45] National debt is climbing at a rapid pace and has shown no signs of slowing down despite
[00:11:50] the growing criticisms of the massive levels of government spending.
[00:11:55] And when we say the massive levels of government spending, you know, again, it doesn't break
[00:12:00] down what the money is all going to, but the national debt, which measures view what the
[00:12:04] U.S. owes to creditors.
[00:12:06] Stop it, though.
[00:12:07] Yeah, I'm trying to.
[00:12:09] There you go.
[00:12:09] So, the creditors, it's all on here.
[00:12:12] And they, like you said, fell to that.
[00:12:14] That is down, believe it or not, about $21.7 billion from the figure reported the previous
[00:12:23] day.
[00:12:24] By comparison, just four decades ago, our national debt hovered around $907 billion.
[00:12:33] So, that was four decades ago.
[00:12:35] Decades?
[00:12:36] Yeah.
[00:12:36] You said four decades?
[00:12:37] Four decades.
[00:12:38] That's four years.
[00:12:40] That's right.
[00:12:41] I learned it in fourth grade.
[00:12:42] So, the outlook for the federal debt level is bleak, with economists increasingly sounding
[00:12:48] the alarm over the torrid pace of spending by Congress and the White House interest payments
[00:12:53] on the debt for the government fiscal year, which begins in October.
[00:12:58] Now, it's going to be exceeded the cost of Medicare and defense budget.
[00:13:04] So, that's just a little bit about what's going on there.
[00:13:07] And then, let's see what this, it says it's giving us live updates, but at nine o'clock,
[00:13:12] stop.
[00:13:13] At nine o'clock, they are supposed to be revisiting this.
[00:13:16] So, this is fast facts for you guys.
[00:13:19] The deadline is nearing to avoid a partial government shutdown, which they say they're
[00:13:24] shut down, but they're not.
[00:13:25] They are still working.
[00:13:27] It's just they get back pay.
[00:13:29] You know, they don't get paid on time.
[00:13:31] People are still working in the government stuff, but they get a back pay when they get...
[00:13:37] You said nine o'clock?
[00:13:39] Nine a.m., one minute away.
[00:13:41] Yep.
[00:13:42] No, it's right now.
[00:13:43] It's nine a.m.
[00:13:44] Another thing, a streamlined version of the bill, which was backed by Trump to avert a
[00:13:50] partial government shutdown, failed to pass the House of Representatives on Thursday
[00:13:55] night.
[00:13:55] And then, the bill, which needed two-thirds of the House chamber to pass, it fell, like
[00:14:02] I said, 174 to 235.
[00:14:04] And the national debt has soared to over $36 trillion.
[00:14:10] And the national deficit is over $1.8 trillion.
[00:14:16] Wait, $1.8 trillion?
[00:14:18] Yeah, the national deficit.
[00:14:20] Dang.
[00:14:21] That's like, that is the most money I've ever heard in my life.
[00:14:26] Right?
[00:14:27] Like, I never thought trillion was an actual money...
[00:14:33] Like it ever could happen?
[00:14:35] Like it ever could happen.
[00:14:36] And to this day, December 20th, 2024, it's happening.
[00:14:45] It's happening.
[00:14:45] It's happening.
[00:14:46] And I'm 10.
[00:14:48] And I can't handle this.
[00:14:49] My brain's about to explode because of school.
[00:14:52] So, another thing that we're going to talk about, too, that a lot of people saw on the
[00:14:57] thing, I posted about it last night.
[00:14:59] Two posts, two breaking news posts.
[00:15:02] We had two incidents actually happen with our city police officers as well as the THP.
[00:15:12] And so, yeah.
[00:15:14] Did I say that right?
[00:15:15] Yeah, I did.
[00:15:16] So, first off, I want to say thank you to Officer Sergeant Hutchings for getting back with me.
[00:15:22] And again, I am so grateful for the work that they do in keeping our public safe.
[00:15:27] But with that said, Officer Sergeant Hutchings conducted a traffic stop and just a regular traffic stop at first near the four lane close to the Angels Bridge.
[00:15:37] And that which led to a canine alert, meaning that there was something there.
[00:15:42] There were maybe something that the car needed to be searched because some things were in there.
[00:15:49] Some good stuff was in there.
[00:15:55] No.
[00:15:56] Some illegal stuff was in there.
[00:15:57] Let's just say, if kids are on here, close your ears.
[00:16:00] There was drugs in that car.
[00:16:03] There was.
[00:16:04] And yeah, that's what happened.
[00:16:06] The investigation resulted in a total of seven charges against the suspect who was found in possession of both methamphetamine and marijuana, along with unlawful drug paraphernalia.
[00:16:19] Yep.
[00:16:20] So, he got charged with at least six counts of something type of drug.
[00:16:25] And then he, which I think they said it was two, three, four, and six.
[00:16:30] If you want to look that up.
[00:16:31] So, basically, do the crime, you pay the time.
[00:16:34] That is correct, Walker.
[00:16:35] That is correct.
[00:16:36] Or is it do the crime, you pay the time?
[00:16:39] No.
[00:16:40] Do the crime, pay the time.
[00:16:42] Okay.
[00:16:42] So, I was right.
[00:16:43] Yeah, you're right.
[00:16:44] But that happened a little after four o'clock, around four-ish fall.
[00:16:50] At the same time this was happening, an unfortunate accident happened right in front of Bridgestone Drive.
[00:16:58] And, yes, and at the intersection of the State Road 55, which is right in front of Country Club Market.
[00:17:06] And a three-vehicle wreck occurred yesterday, around the same time, at that intersection in that Bridgestone Drive.
[00:17:13] And according to the preliminary report that I got from the Tennessee Highway Patrol, 88-year-old Bobby Thompson was driving a black Cadillac when he collided with a 1999 Peterbilt truck owned by 53-year-old Greg Gillette.
[00:17:29] And, um, Thompson was traveling south on the State Road 55 lane, um, lane one.
[00:17:36] And then he merged into the left lane at that intersection.
[00:17:40] Gillette was heading north on the State Road 55 in the second lane.
[00:17:45] Thompson made a left turn toward Bridgestone Drive without yielding the right-of-way to Gillette, who struck the front right of Thompson's vehicle.
[00:17:55] After the collision, Gillette continued to northbound for several feet before overturning.
[00:18:01] Now, he then hit a parked car, a third vehicle, which thankfully was unoccupied at the time.
[00:18:07] No one was in that.
[00:18:08] It was a 2016 Volkswagen located in the parking space at the BP gas station, which, of course, we all know as the farmer, or the, um, the, uh, not the farmer's market.
[00:18:19] Oh, my gosh, the Country Club Market.
[00:18:21] Uh, with that said, Gillette, uh, came to the stop just north of the Volkswagen, blocking both northbound and travel lanes.
[00:18:30] Thompson has sustained injuries in the, in the accident, while Gillette reported no injuries.
[00:18:36] No additional details have been released, and charges are pending against Thompson.
[00:18:42] And more details are to come.
[00:18:43] We'll stay on that story.
[00:18:44] So, let's just give a prayer about this.
[00:18:48] Hope everybody's okay.
[00:18:49] They are.
[00:18:50] They're just one person only got injured, but it didn't say if you went to the hospital or not, so.
[00:18:55] So, yeah, we, we were actually in basketball practice.
[00:18:59] We were.
[00:19:00] At that time.
[00:19:01] So, yeah, that's what happened.
[00:19:04] Everybody was, like, shocked.
[00:19:05] We were, like, said, what just happened?
[00:19:08] Yeah.
[00:19:08] Everybody was not freaking out, but was, like, frozen.
[00:19:12] Like, what the heck?
[00:19:14] Yeah.
[00:19:14] Uh, what just happened?
[00:19:15] Exactly.
[00:19:16] So, yep.
[00:19:19] So, with that said, uh, prayers go out to everybody that was injured, the businesses that were affected.
[00:19:25] Wait, should we go to a prayer?
[00:19:26] If you want to pray, sure, go forth.
[00:19:28] Bow our heads, close our eyes, and let's pray.
[00:19:31] Dear Lord, thank you for this day.
[00:19:32] I hope everybody that was in that crash be, uh, safe, and I hope their families will help them guide their way into the hospital.
[00:19:40] And I hope God helps them guide their way through the hospital when they get healed.
[00:19:47] In Jesus' name I pray.
[00:19:48] Amen.
[00:19:48] Oh, there you go, Bubba.
[00:19:49] That was very sweet of you.
[00:19:51] And now the next big thing.
[00:19:54] Can I actually say something real quick?
[00:19:55] Sure.
[00:19:57] Uh.
[00:19:57] Uh.
[00:19:58] Nope, where are you gonna go to?
[00:19:59] Nope, nope.
[00:20:00] Don't get off my next thing.
[00:20:03] That's what I'm on.
[00:20:04] Yeah.
[00:20:05] Okay, so the next big thing, no pun intended.
[00:20:09] The big news is now also, too, about big lots.
[00:20:13] Wait.
[00:20:13] I just came up with something.
[00:20:15] The big news is big lots.
[00:20:18] Big news, big lots.
[00:20:19] Yeah.
[00:20:20] So the big news is big lots that are not gaining enough money so they can survive throughout the season getting more items so they can sell.
[00:20:30] Because people really just go to Walmart because it's closer, easier, and more, like, advanced.
[00:20:36] Well, big lots is not bad.
[00:20:37] We've been in there several times.
[00:20:38] It's not a bad place.
[00:20:40] Mm-hmm.
[00:20:40] But sadly, they might have to close down.
[00:20:43] They are closing down.
[00:20:44] Well, they are closing down.
[00:20:46] So that's happening.
[00:20:48] So if you like big lots.
[00:20:51] Oh.
[00:20:52] Hang on, actually.
[00:20:54] Do we do?
[00:20:55] Do you want to read this?
[00:20:56] Do we do a donating program?
[00:20:59] No, we do.
[00:21:00] We do.
[00:21:00] But you can't donate to big lots.
[00:21:03] It's not a non-profit.
[00:21:05] So?
[00:21:06] Okay.
[00:21:07] I can do whatever I want.
[00:21:08] When I'm a kid, I'm strong, and I'm a man.
[00:21:10] Okay.
[00:21:10] All right.
[00:21:11] So if you find the, you know those boxes?
[00:21:17] What?
[00:21:18] Boxes with the money in it?
[00:21:19] If you find those, put some money in there, and I think I will donate it to big lots.
[00:21:27] You want to keep big lots?
[00:21:28] I want to keep big lots here.
[00:21:30] It is a lot of people.
[00:21:32] It is a mark on Tennessee.
[00:21:36] It's a mark.
[00:21:38] It is a mark.
[00:21:39] I'm putting my finger down.
[00:21:40] It's a mark.
[00:21:41] Okay.
[00:21:42] So, yeah.
[00:21:43] Let me read this.
[00:21:43] Okay.
[00:21:44] So I'll help you.
[00:21:44] So you started there after?
[00:21:46] After filling.
[00:21:48] Filing.
[00:21:49] Filing.
[00:21:50] The chapter 11 bankruptcy.
[00:21:54] Mm-hmm.
[00:21:54] Protection.
[00:21:55] Protection and closing hundreds of stores.
[00:21:59] Stores.
[00:22:00] Big lots.
[00:22:01] So almost a hundred.
[00:22:03] A hundred.
[00:22:05] They're saying hundreds of stores.
[00:22:06] Yeah.
[00:22:06] Keep reading.
[00:22:07] Because in the title, guys, it's saying going out of business sales to begin at all locations.
[00:22:13] This is big lots, and they're saying all locations, and they have 926 locations.
[00:22:21] So with that said, keep going, Bubby.
[00:22:23] All right.
[00:22:23] And this company confirmed it on what day?
[00:22:26] And it confirmed it on Thursday.
[00:22:30] Yeah.
[00:22:31] So, yep.
[00:22:32] And this news story we did see on the Warren County Joy page that James Clark does, but we're
[00:22:37] reading this verbatim from the WKRN.com website.
[00:22:40] So in priest, in a press release, the company said it will be beginning, going out of business
[00:22:51] sales at all of its remaining locations, totaling 963 as of Thursday after failing to complete its purpose.
[00:23:12] Previously.
[00:23:13] Previously.
[00:23:15] Previously.
[00:23:16] Announced.
[00:23:17] Announced sales to new.
[00:23:20] Nexus Capital Management.
[00:23:22] Yep.
[00:23:23] A private.
[00:23:24] Equity firm.
[00:23:25] Equity firm.
[00:23:27] So more.
[00:23:29] So more than 400 big lot stores are now closed.
[00:23:35] Have already closed.
[00:23:36] Have already closed for the rest of the remaining years.
[00:23:41] Yeah.
[00:23:41] So it says for the year making a roughly 30% reduction in its footprint.
[00:23:48] Yep.
[00:23:49] So going to the next thing, or is this the same thing?
[00:23:52] The same thing, Bubby.
[00:23:53] Still same thing.
[00:23:54] In an email to employees that was shared with News 2's.
[00:24:02] Parent company.
[00:24:02] Parent company.
[00:24:05] Man, I'm just speechless about this.
[00:24:07] Yeah.
[00:24:08] I'm just speechless.
[00:24:08] It says next star.
[00:24:11] Next star.
[00:24:12] President and CEO Bruce Thorne said that the pending store closures could be reversed if we
[00:24:19] successfully complete a sale.
[00:24:22] Big Lots is continuing its efforts to secure, let's see, efforts and to secure an alternative
[00:24:30] deal with Nexus or another party that would enable us to preserve a significant, stop, I hear,
[00:24:38] significant part of the businesses going forward.
[00:24:42] I gotta go use the rest of your book.
[00:24:44] Oh, you gotta go.
[00:24:44] Fear of that.
[00:24:45] Okay.
[00:24:45] In the meantime, we will continue to serve our...
[00:24:48] Don't do my thing for me, okay?
[00:24:50] Okay.
[00:24:50] In the meantime, we will continue to serve our customers both in stores and online, Thorne said.
[00:24:55] He warned, however, that a reduction in workforce is necessary.
[00:25:00] The reduction in workforce for corporate associates will begin in January.
[00:25:05] The meet email also added other employees may receive a WARN Act notices notifying them that the Big Lots reductions is enforced.
[00:25:16] So, if, you know, and he goes, I recognize that this is difficult news for all of us.
[00:25:21] You should be proud of the grit and resiliency you've demonstrated through what I know has been a challenging time.
[00:25:30] Thorne wrote, Big Lots did file for bankruptcy back in September after warning earlier in the year that inflation
[00:25:37] and troubles competing with other retailers has caused sustainable doubt on its ability to continue.
[00:25:45] Shortly after filing, Big Lots said it had plans to sell assets and business operations to the Nexus Capital Management.
[00:25:53] And, of course, they are a private equity firm.
[00:25:57] It says,
[00:25:59] In late November, Big Lots announced it had received court approval for the sale of sustainably all of its assets and businesses operations to Nexus.
[00:26:09] The sale was expected to close in early December but faltered.
[00:26:14] Big Lots also reversed some of its pending closures last month across multiple stores after announcing more than a dozen new expected closures.
[00:26:24] Some stores have remained open for weeks and months after closing.
[00:26:28] Sales begin.
[00:26:29] It's unclear how long Big Lots will maintain the newly announced going out of business sale.
[00:26:35] But, Big Lots was among a slew of businesses that filed bankruptcy in 2024.
[00:26:40] Among those were also Red Lobster.
[00:26:42] A lot of people didn't know that.
[00:26:44] What?
[00:26:44] Which survived its chapter.
[00:26:46] Red Lobster.
[00:26:47] Yeah.
[00:26:48] Red Lobster is the best.
[00:26:50] It's never going out of business.
[00:26:53] And, also, it said that they said which survived its chapter 11 bankruptcy proceedings.
[00:26:59] So, again, that's just to name a few of the things going on.
[00:27:03] Yep.
[00:27:03] And, isn't it my turn to speak?
[00:27:05] About Big Lots?
[00:27:06] No.
[00:27:07] About stores.
[00:27:10] We're getting close.
[00:27:11] We're getting close.
[00:27:11] But, I will talk about Big Lots.
[00:27:14] Thoughts about that?
[00:27:15] What's your thoughts about that?
[00:27:17] Big Lots?
[00:27:18] My thoughts is I really want to be a great guy.
[00:27:23] And, I want to do...
[00:27:25] I want my mom to buy more of those boxes.
[00:27:29] Instead of for Warren First, I want it to be for Big Lots.
[00:27:33] Because, I want Big Lots to run still in business.
[00:27:36] But, I feel like a couple dollars isn't going to do it.
[00:27:40] So, I am going to ask my mom if we can do a whole program with this.
[00:27:46] You can donate $1.
[00:27:47] You can donate $2.
[00:27:50] You can donate $3.
[00:27:51] You can donate $4.
[00:27:53] You can donate $5.
[00:27:54] You can donate any amount you want.
[00:27:57] Monetary donations.
[00:27:58] Yes.
[00:27:59] With that said, we're almost to the part where Walker...
[00:28:01] So, yeah.
[00:28:02] I'm going to do a program.
[00:28:03] Okay.
[00:28:04] Well, of course, we know it's holiday season.
[00:28:06] And, don't forget, there are so many shops downtown in the surrounding area.
[00:28:10] The Plaza Shopping Center.
[00:28:12] The Northgate Shopping Center.
[00:28:13] Make sure you go shop till you drop.
[00:28:16] This weekend really is like...
[00:28:18] If you want to get last minute shopping in so you're still ahead of the game...
[00:28:21] Hey, ladies.
[00:28:22] This is when you need to...
[00:28:22] There is a really good discount on Amazon right now.
[00:28:25] So, you better go to Amazon.
[00:28:26] You better go anywhere.
[00:28:27] There's discounts.
[00:28:29] And, we always say this though, Walker, don't we?
[00:28:31] Shop local what?
[00:28:32] Shop local, I don't know.
[00:28:34] First.
[00:28:34] First.
[00:28:35] Oh, shop local first.
[00:28:36] And, if you can't find it here at any of our stores...
[00:28:39] Then, go to the sales online, right?
[00:28:41] Yep.
[00:28:42] Yep.
[00:28:42] But, with the sale going on, Evelyn Taylor Avenue is having all their Christmas stuff 40% off.
[00:28:49] Oh, dang.
[00:28:49] So, you better go there because it's actually just right down there.
[00:28:52] And, look at it.
[00:28:53] It's super cute stuff.
[00:28:55] Oh, dang.
[00:28:55] Oh, do you think I can go down there and get that gingerbread?
[00:28:59] I know.
[00:28:59] You like stuff like that.
[00:29:01] I like the gingerbread.
[00:29:01] Also, if you haven't got to see Santa Claus...
[00:29:04] The Christmas party at Centertown CIC is going to be tonight from 5 to 7 p.m.
[00:29:11] Do I go to that?
[00:29:12] No.
[00:29:13] Huh.
[00:29:13] We got a Friendsmask going.
[00:29:15] We're going to Joyce's tonight, remember?
[00:29:17] Oh, yeah.
[00:29:18] Let's go to the phone.
[00:29:19] So, bring your own phone to take pictures with you of Santa and the green menace himself will also be there.
[00:29:28] The Grinch.
[00:29:30] Hello.
[00:29:32] Oh.
[00:29:32] Say hi to Hunter Raines for me, Walt.
[00:29:34] Hunter what?
[00:29:36] Hunter Raines, good morning.
[00:29:38] Good morning.
[00:29:39] Merry Christmas to you.
[00:29:40] He is the...
[00:29:42] Warren County Emergency Notifications.
[00:29:46] Yes.
[00:29:47] You owe me a Coke.
[00:29:48] But with that said...
[00:29:50] Now we do.
[00:29:51] Jinx, you can't talk until somebody says his name.
[00:29:53] And guess what?
[00:29:54] It says, hello, Kaylee.
[00:29:55] So, you are now...
[00:29:56] No, stop.
[00:29:58] No.
[00:29:58] With that said, also going on at the Centertown CIC, they're going to have live music and you can make your own hot chocolate.
[00:30:04] It is from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. and they're located at 92...
[00:30:12] You can't go there.
[00:30:13] Nanny says hi.
[00:30:15] There you go.
[00:30:16] Hey, Nanny.
[00:30:17] And then so...
[00:30:18] That's an old picture.
[00:30:20] What was that?
[00:30:21] That is a picture of...
[00:30:23] No.
[00:30:24] Mm-mm.
[00:30:25] Well, I know that...
[00:30:26] That's a picture of my nanny.
[00:30:28] Of my nanny.
[00:30:29] Which would be your great nanny.
[00:30:31] Pull it up.
[00:30:32] Pull it up.
[00:30:33] I want to see this.
[00:30:35] I don't know.
[00:30:36] Who's the baby?
[00:30:37] Is that Nick?
[00:30:38] She's calling, Mama?
[00:30:39] Yeah, who's the baby?
[00:30:39] I think that's your Uncle Nick.
[00:30:41] Yeah, it literally said...
[00:30:43] It literally looked like...
[00:30:46] Like something from the 19s.
[00:30:49] Like the 1980s when they had that brown puffy hair like that.
[00:30:53] Well, guess what?
[00:30:54] We were born in...
[00:30:55] Me and your Uncle Nick were born in the 1980s.
[00:30:59] Jinx.
[00:31:00] I'm making hot chocolate for Christmas, Nanny said.
[00:31:03] Oh, no.
[00:31:04] Wait, are you?
[00:31:04] Oh, it is Nick.
[00:31:05] Yes, it is Nick.
[00:31:06] Yeah, it's my brother.
[00:31:07] So, hey, thanks, Nanny.
[00:31:09] You're making hot chocolate for Christmas.
[00:31:11] Thanks.
[00:31:12] That's going to be crazy.
[00:31:13] All right.
[00:31:14] So, speaking of crazy things...
[00:31:16] Hey, Nanny, we need marshmallows.
[00:31:17] We need marshmallows.
[00:31:18] Yeah.
[00:31:18] Well, actually, I think I might help her do the whole marshmallow trick hack.
[00:31:22] It's Nick one year old.
[00:31:23] Oh, that's cool.
[00:31:24] That's cool.
[00:31:25] Yeah.
[00:31:26] Yeah, that looks funny.
[00:31:27] There's a TikTok thing that I think me and Nanny want to do where you freeze a Cool Whip
[00:31:32] and you can make it look like a melting snowman.
[00:31:35] Yeah.
[00:31:36] And you put it in your cup and it's so neat.
[00:31:38] But I was going to show you something else, Mom, I saw on TikTok that looks neat just like
[00:31:42] that.
[00:31:42] But with that said, the Park Theater just announced this yesterday.
[00:31:48] Do you have a hit song?
[00:31:52] Hit?
[00:31:53] Yeah.
[00:31:53] Do you have a hit song?
[00:31:54] What do you mean a hit song?
[00:31:55] A Christmas song?
[00:31:56] Well, the countdown to the Tennessee Songwriters Week 2025 is beginning now.
[00:32:01] If you are ready to take your songwriting skills to next level...
[00:32:06] Wait, so I can write a song?
[00:32:08] Yep.
[00:32:09] Enter the qualifying round at the Park Theater in McMinnville, Tennessee on January the 31st.
[00:32:15] And it's got all the rules and stuff in there.
[00:32:17] Wait, so I can actually...
[00:32:18] So they're talking...
[00:32:19] They're inviting me?
[00:32:21] No, I'm just saying...
[00:32:23] It's a segue.
[00:32:24] Like, we're making conversations.
[00:32:26] Because I know a song that I fully made up.
[00:32:29] It's called...
[00:32:30] It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas with my mom at times.
[00:32:39] We're doing the podcast now.
[00:32:41] We're going to see the snow.
[00:32:42] We're going to build snowmen together around the world.
[00:32:46] It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas everywhere you go.
[00:32:54] Love it.
[00:32:54] Get it.
[00:32:55] Me and my mom, we're going to the snow.
[00:32:58] We're making snowmen all around the world.
[00:33:03] Don't forget, there is McMinnville ass down the street.
[00:33:07] Eat.
[00:33:08] You can go skating down the...
[00:33:11] I don't know what that was.
[00:33:13] I don't know.
[00:33:15] I don't know.
[00:33:15] We're skating down the rink.
[00:33:16] That was really good though.
[00:33:17] Wait, wait.
[00:33:18] We're skating down the rink.
[00:33:19] Ink.
[00:33:20] Down the rink.
[00:33:23] Ink.
[00:33:24] We go.
[00:33:25] Around and around and around.
[00:33:29] It's looking a lot like Christmas.
[00:33:33] There you go.
[00:33:36] With me and my mom and I snow.
[00:33:38] We're making the snowman like as we go.
[00:33:40] Around the world we see everybody that we know.
[00:33:44] It's beginning to look like Christmas.
[00:33:47] Do, do, do, do.
[00:33:49] Everywhere you go.
[00:33:51] We're doing the podcast now.
[00:33:53] We're going to make some.
[00:33:54] And now we're going to see everybody in the world.
[00:33:59] Dwayne Ramsey said this is great.
[00:34:01] This is great.
[00:34:02] And Sharon Walker says yes.
[00:34:03] She's responding to you from earlier.
[00:34:06] Yep.
[00:34:07] With that said, continuing on, we're going to talk a little bit about high school.
[00:34:13] No, middle school.
[00:34:13] High school.
[00:34:14] High school.
[00:34:15] Hi.
[00:34:15] Last night.
[00:34:16] No, middle school.
[00:34:17] It was actually middle school last night.
[00:34:18] I want to read this.
[00:34:19] Well, you don't know what I'm about to say.
[00:34:21] So, let me do it.
[00:34:22] Hey, I'm a man of mine.
[00:34:24] I'm a pendant so I can read.
[00:34:24] I know you can read.
[00:34:26] You can do the next one.
[00:34:28] So, with that said, the Warren County Pioneer Pride Band was on last night.
[00:34:33] With the Warren County Middle School Christmas program.
[00:34:36] And if you missed it, you can click on the link that we have put shared for you guys.
[00:34:41] I'm trying to like.
[00:34:42] There it goes.
[00:34:43] I got it.
[00:34:44] I got it.
[00:34:44] We shared for you guys.
[00:34:45] It's on our page.
[00:34:46] You can actually click on it and re-watch it if you missed it.
[00:34:50] Also, breaking news.
[00:34:52] Forgot to say this.
[00:34:53] Wait, hang on.
[00:34:53] Breaking news.
[00:34:55] Da-na-na.
[00:34:56] Na-na-na.
[00:34:57] Na-na-na.
[00:34:57] So, with that said.
[00:34:59] Breaking news.
[00:35:00] And it's exciting news for Fouches.
[00:35:03] But I'll say this again.
[00:35:04] Billy.
[00:35:04] Who's the man with the beautiful mustache?
[00:35:06] That's the new owner.
[00:35:08] Dang.
[00:35:08] Yeah.
[00:35:09] Who's the man with the beautiful mustache?
[00:35:11] You mustache.
[00:35:12] Mustache.
[00:35:13] How do you say it?
[00:35:14] Mustache.
[00:35:15] I must ask you a question.
[00:35:16] Mustache.
[00:35:17] I must...
[00:35:18] I must...
[00:35:18] I can't say.
[00:35:18] I can't say.
[00:35:19] But exciting news.
[00:35:20] He has a beautiful mustache.
[00:35:21] I got it.
[00:35:22] Exciting news for Fouches.
[00:35:23] They're thrilled to announce...
[00:35:25] Or we're thrilled to announce the new owners.
[00:35:27] They're Nashville natives.
[00:35:29] And it's...
[00:35:30] Oh, I remember.
[00:35:31] Ferez Murak and his cousin Mina Law-Wendy.
[00:35:36] And they're also real estate agents.
[00:35:38] Hold on.
[00:35:38] All together, they bring a warm and welcoming vibe to the business.
[00:35:42] While the menu and hours remain the same for now,
[00:35:45] they are planning an open on Saturdays starting in the new year.
[00:35:49] So, a fun fact.
[00:35:50] If anybody didn't know this.
[00:35:51] Wait, can I read?
[00:35:52] This is why you say they're so beautiful.
[00:35:54] They have Egyptian ancestry.
[00:35:58] Well, that's crazy.
[00:36:00] Yeah.
[00:36:00] And guess what else they are?
[00:36:01] What?
[00:36:02] They're in their 20s!
[00:36:05] That's why they're so young.
[00:36:07] Look at them.
[00:36:09] That man is 20?
[00:36:11] They're both in their 20s.
[00:36:12] The one with...
[00:36:13] I must ask.
[00:36:14] The one with the beautiful mustache?
[00:36:17] Yes.
[00:36:17] See?
[00:36:18] I figured it out.
[00:36:19] I love it.
[00:36:19] I must ask.
[00:36:21] That beautiful mustache.
[00:36:22] Now, one thing Walker can talk about is our 12 Days Kindness Challenge.
[00:36:28] Uh-oh.
[00:36:29] Because we are on...
[00:36:29] Yeah, we're on day 9.
[00:36:32] Day 9.
[00:36:33] Oh, yeah.
[00:36:33] 12 Christmas Kindness Challenge.
[00:36:36] Yes.
[00:36:37] Day 9.
[00:36:38] Challenge.
[00:36:38] Challenge.
[00:36:38] Challenge.
[00:36:49] We're going to get a bigger need and donate them to make a small money...
[00:36:56] Monetary.
[00:36:57] Monetary.
[00:36:59] Contribution.
[00:37:00] Contribution.
[00:37:03] Contribution.
[00:37:03] Contribution.
[00:37:04] The mystery word.
[00:37:04] The mystery word.
[00:37:05] Contribution.
[00:37:06] Yep.
[00:37:07] And that's the challenge.
[00:37:09] It is also on Facebook.
[00:37:11] If you want to know, it's on Facebook.
[00:37:13] Can I get it?
[00:37:14] Can I get it?
[00:37:14] I did it!
[00:37:16] Okay, you did.
[00:37:17] I did it.
[00:37:17] Good job.
[00:37:18] Finally.
[00:37:19] So, with that said, if you haven't started our festive 12 Day Challenge, we are only on
[00:37:24] day 9.
[00:37:25] Getting closer and closer to...
[00:37:27] Christmas!
[00:37:28] Christmas!
[00:37:29] So, if you have not made any of your Acts of Kindness Challenge, if you just want to do
[00:37:34] a couple, just figure it out.
[00:37:36] And speaking of Monetary Donations Walker, a big event is going on Saturday tomorrow at
[00:37:43] 4 o'clock.
[00:37:45] Just a special time for these guys.
[00:37:47] The new Mufasa movie is out.
[00:37:49] Have you seen this?
[00:37:50] Oh, yeah.
[00:37:51] Oh, wait.
[00:37:51] If I can remember this, at Cumberland Caverns, which is right here on there...
[00:37:56] Cumberland Biscuit.
[00:37:57] Cumberland Biscuit.
[00:37:58] They are doing a charity thing like I want to do for Big Lots, but instead...
[00:38:02] What are they doing?
[00:38:03] So, on there, when you go up there, on their desk, they have like a picture of Mufasa,
[00:38:08] and...
[00:38:09] They're promoting it.
[00:38:11] Eight tickets saves one day.
[00:38:14] Oh, $8.
[00:38:15] $8.
[00:38:16] Eight dollars to buy...
[00:38:18] Helps.
[00:38:18] Helps.
[00:38:18] If you buy a ticket, it helps a dog.
[00:38:21] Sheltered animals, yes.
[00:38:22] Yeah.
[00:38:22] So, if you buy five tickets, five dogs have been helped.
[00:38:27] Exactly.
[00:38:28] Think about it.
[00:38:28] That's a good way of thinking about it.
[00:38:30] We had Holly on the show yesterday.
[00:38:33] And Holly...
[00:38:34] Cox, she's over the animals...
[00:38:37] Animals...
[00:38:38] Animals...
[00:38:38] Sheltered animals.
[00:38:39] And she does a phenomenal job.
[00:38:42] And like you were saying, you know, we talked about acts of kindness.
[00:38:45] If you can't make it to that event, just swing by and give them a monetary donation.
[00:38:50] Wait.
[00:38:50] You can't make it, but just make it.
[00:38:53] Yeah.
[00:38:53] Can't make it...
[00:38:54] Still make the donation.
[00:38:55] Then just still make it.
[00:38:56] I agree.
[00:38:57] I agree.
[00:38:57] That's what I'm saying.
[00:38:58] I got you.
[00:38:59] You were confused for a second.
[00:39:01] I was.
[00:39:01] I was like, where are you going with that?
[00:39:02] But with that said...
[00:39:03] Hold on.
[00:39:04] If you don't make it, try to make it online.
[00:39:07] Right.
[00:39:07] But with that said, $8 is the ticket cost.
[00:39:12] All proceeds are going to be benefiting sheltered animals.
[00:39:16] Also, it is the Mufasa movie at the three-star cinema.
[00:39:19] So, make sure you go there.
[00:39:20] And thanks again to Pure Wealth.
[00:39:23] I'm going to talk about that next.
[00:39:25] Pure Wealth is the big sponsors on that.
[00:39:28] CK and Dan do a phenomenal job with their business and being a part of the community.
[00:39:33] And being a mover and shaker in this community.
[00:39:37] So, that's where Uncle Zach lives.
[00:39:39] Near out that way.
[00:39:40] When the hurricane came through.
[00:39:42] Oh, yeah.
[00:39:43] Dang.
[00:39:43] This is sad.
[00:39:45] Dang.
[00:39:46] So, it looks like...
[00:39:47] Wait.
[00:39:48] I'm going to read it.
[00:39:49] I see it.
[00:39:49] Can I look at it?
[00:39:50] Because I haven't read it.
[00:39:51] For many outside for WNC.
[00:39:56] The true struggles of this town remain unknown.
[00:40:01] But through the storms we find...
[00:40:06] Oh, dang.
[00:40:08] Yeah.
[00:40:08] I haven't read it all.
[00:40:09] You grabbed the phone for me.
[00:40:11] Go ahead.
[00:40:11] Yeah.
[00:40:11] Finish it.
[00:40:12] Okay.
[00:40:13] My turn.
[00:40:14] So...
[00:40:15] It's a lot.
[00:40:17] Well, you lost it.
[00:40:18] So, it's basically saying that there has been a hurricane where my Uncle Zach lives.
[00:40:25] Wait.
[00:40:25] Isn't that North Carolina?
[00:40:26] You know, in North Carolina, there was all that damage.
[00:40:28] And we talked about this this week as well.
[00:40:30] But Appalachian Santa has come.
[00:40:34] Mrs. Claus and...
[00:40:35] Appalachian Mrs. Claus and Mr. Santa has come.
[00:40:39] And like you were saying, for many outside of North Carolina, the struggles are still real.
[00:40:46] And Melody was talking about that.
[00:40:48] And they've been documenting these storms, the hardships, and the silent struggles that often go unnoticed.
[00:40:54] And I'm honored to be partnering with Appalachian Santa and Holly on a project of mine to bring a vision that aims to bring hope, magic, to those facing difficult times.
[00:41:08] From local volunteers, near and far, to unwavering spirit of our community, this project is about offering light in the darkest moments.
[00:41:17] These images are captured through the eyes of those who are currently rebuilding from the storm and are dedicated to bringing hope, love, strength to all who need it.
[00:41:27] May they remind you that even in the toughest times, there's always a flicker of light.
[00:41:33] So, with that said, here is the one picture right here.
[00:41:40] And again, thanks to Melody for sharing this.
[00:41:43] Yeah, I saw that.
[00:41:44] With some rubble.
[00:41:45] She talked about how there was piles.
[00:41:48] Santa's actually holding a teddy bear.
[00:41:50] And then look, there's a head.
[00:41:52] There's Santa.
[00:41:53] Appalachian Santa with a fireplace and the whole wood floors out.
[00:41:58] Oh, there's a really crazy one.
[00:42:00] Let me show you this one.
[00:42:01] There's one.
[00:42:03] Yeah, this one.
[00:42:03] This one's probably the craziest.
[00:42:06] It is literally Appalachian Santa with and holding the star of a Christmas tree.
[00:42:12] Yeah.
[00:42:12] With a broken.
[00:42:15] Even though it's broke, it's still beautiful, right?
[00:42:17] Yep.
[00:42:18] Like your heart, when it's broken, you can still fix it.
[00:42:21] You can.
[00:42:22] That is right.
[00:42:24] To God.
[00:42:24] That is right.
[00:42:25] So, there's another one.
[00:42:27] What is it?
[00:42:28] Well, they did a photo shoot so people could see how bad it is in these areas.
[00:42:32] Yeah, it did really bad.
[00:42:33] That's the only two photos we're actually going to show because it's really bad.
[00:42:37] It's just really bad up there.
[00:42:38] So, we're not going to show any more pictures.
[00:42:40] But if you want to see more, go on to Facebook.
[00:42:46] Exactly.
[00:42:47] Because that's where it is.
[00:42:48] Keep on because we're about to wrap it up with Walker here.
[00:42:51] Aw.
[00:42:52] But Melody finally shared this on our page.
[00:42:55] But if you missed the Pioneer Pride Christmas concert that was held at the high school,
[00:42:59] that is now uploaded on our social media as well.
[00:43:03] Can I watch when we get in the course?
[00:43:04] We can.
[00:43:05] Don't forget, if you want to win tickets to the local on Moorford,
[00:43:09] they are doing their ticket giveaway right now.
[00:43:12] You got to tag a friend, do all that, follow how the rules are.
[00:43:16] We're going to actually have Amy in from the local on Monday's show coming in.
[00:43:21] Can I come?
[00:43:22] Yep.
[00:43:22] Because guess what?
[00:43:24] I forgot.
[00:43:24] I'm actually going to say a quick thing that I am posted.
[00:43:28] I should have said at the first thing that all, I think all Warren County schools or just Covenant Academy are closed.
[00:43:38] We're not closed today.
[00:43:40] Yeah.
[00:43:41] Well, I'm saying.
[00:43:42] Some people are just skipping today.
[00:43:43] The reason I'm saying this, I'm saying that Warren County schools.
[00:43:48] Warren.
[00:43:49] Warren County schools.
[00:43:50] We'll be closed next week.
[00:43:51] We'll be closed next week for two weeks.
[00:43:54] Yeah.
[00:43:54] So you're on Christmas break, aren't we?
[00:43:56] Yep.
[00:43:56] And guess what?
[00:43:57] I think today's the 20th.
[00:44:00] 21st, 22nd, 23rd, 24th.
[00:44:03] Tuesday is Christmas.
[00:44:06] Is it Tuesday?
[00:44:07] Yeah.
[00:44:07] Look.
[00:44:08] Today's the 20th.
[00:44:09] Mm-hmm.
[00:44:10] 21st, 22nd, 23rd.
[00:44:13] Wednesday.
[00:44:14] Oh, it's because I didn't count this today.
[00:44:16] But it is Wednesday.
[00:44:18] So, oh, my God.
[00:44:19] It's, oh, gosh.
[00:44:20] Oh, it's bright.
[00:44:21] Oh, God.
[00:44:22] Oh, gosh.
[00:44:23] That's bright.
[00:44:23] Oh, that's bright.
[00:44:24] That's bright.
[00:44:25] That's bright.
[00:44:25] That is bright.
[00:44:26] So, with that said, please look at all the stuff we're talking about on today's show.
[00:44:31] Don't forget, the local is hosting the New Year's Eve party.
[00:44:36] It's a Roaring 20s thing party.
[00:44:40] Oh, it's coming back.
[00:44:40] Oh, it's coming back.
[00:44:41] Yeah.
[00:44:41] So if you want to make plans for that.
[00:44:43] And then I did make a post.
[00:44:47] Hold on.
[00:44:48] Hold on.
[00:44:49] Oh, I'm tired for some reason.
[00:44:51] I'm tired, too.
[00:44:53] I think it's because you're here on my show.
[00:44:55] You're making me tired.
[00:44:58] Oh, you're making me tired.
[00:45:01] I was just kidding.
[00:45:02] Are we about the roast?
[00:45:03] Oh, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait.
[00:45:05] We got a new comment.
[00:45:06] We got a new comment.
[00:45:07] Let's show it.
[00:45:09] Oh, he said federal government didn't get the budget bill passed.
[00:45:14] Okay.
[00:45:15] So what does that mean?
[00:45:17] I mean, I'll go, we'll go back on that right quick before we.
[00:45:20] Yeah, we're going to keep this on because this looks, this looks.
[00:45:23] Wait, is that Ryan J?
[00:45:24] Yeah, it is Ryan J.
[00:45:25] No, it's not Ryan J.
[00:45:26] He keeps like it.
[00:45:27] He has a T hat.
[00:45:29] That's Junior.
[00:45:30] Oh, I said Ryan J.
[00:45:32] Stop.
[00:45:33] I get it.
[00:45:34] Stop.
[00:45:34] Because I said the wrong thing, but yeah.
[00:45:37] We're going to hide that.
[00:45:38] Hold on.
[00:45:39] Let's see if they posted it.
[00:45:41] Weighs in on the shutdown.
[00:45:43] Showdown with the deadline just hours away.
[00:45:45] Okay.
[00:45:45] So we're going to do my thing.
[00:45:47] House expected to vote on a version.
[00:45:49] Down and a down.
[00:45:52] We're actually going to put a star on this.
[00:45:54] I don't know if they.
[00:45:55] So did they.
[00:45:56] Stop.
[00:45:57] I put stars on people that we actually need.
[00:46:00] No, it's fine.
[00:46:01] I don't know why we star them.
[00:46:02] I can't.
[00:46:03] Oh, me.
[00:46:05] Stop.
[00:46:05] It's okay.
[00:46:07] Um, if you can let me know, because I haven't shared it on.
[00:46:13] You smell it?
[00:46:14] No.
[00:46:15] I smell something.
[00:46:17] What?
[00:46:18] They cut them something back there.
[00:46:19] Oh, then that means they're making their soup.
[00:46:23] That you love so much.
[00:46:24] I love that.
[00:46:26] Yeah.
[00:46:26] My favorite thing to do with their soup is just grab my girl treats and just dip it in their house.
[00:46:31] So I'll look more into that.
[00:46:33] It's not posting yet on the social media stuff.
[00:46:36] So today, guess what is time is?
[00:46:39] Walker's Town Talk time.
[00:46:41] It's time.
[00:46:42] Bam, bam, bam, bam, bam, bam.
[00:46:44] So it's not Town Talk time.
[00:46:46] Dang it.
[00:46:47] That's where the radio stops.
[00:46:48] But it is.
[00:46:49] It is the same thing on ours.
[00:46:52] Bam, bam, bam, bam.
[00:46:54] But it is time to talk about holiday hours.
[00:46:58] And we were calling all Warren County businesses and more.
[00:47:01] What does your week look like from December the 23rd through January the 2nd?
[00:47:07] And Walker.
[00:47:09] What?
[00:47:09] Is going to read them.
[00:47:12] Oh.
[00:47:13] Yeah.
[00:47:14] So.
[00:47:15] So this one?
[00:47:16] Start with the top.
[00:47:18] This is Cookies by Brax.
[00:47:19] Okay.
[00:47:20] Cookies by Brax will be closed.
[00:47:22] Closed.
[00:47:23] They're really good cookies.
[00:47:24] Well, we'll be closed and open back on January 2nd.
[00:47:32] So they're going to be closed from the 23rd.
[00:47:35] Yeah.
[00:47:36] And then we got Wink Skincare Studios.
[00:47:39] Click on the image if you need to.
[00:47:41] So holiday hours will be.
[00:47:44] I'm just going to pull it up.
[00:47:45] No.
[00:47:46] People can't.
[00:47:46] You got to read it.
[00:47:47] Well, 2.7.
[00:47:49] Well, Tuesday.
[00:47:50] Right now it's the 20th.
[00:47:52] All right.
[00:47:52] Tuesdays 9 through 6 p.m.
[00:47:55] 11.
[00:47:56] Wednesday through 11.
[00:47:57] 6 p.m.
[00:48:00] And Thursday 11 through 6 p.m.
[00:48:03] Okay.
[00:48:03] Stop.
[00:48:03] Now you're messing up.
[00:48:04] So today is Friday the 20th of December.
[00:48:08] Look.
[00:48:08] I'm going to help you read it.
[00:48:09] Look.
[00:48:09] Look at Mama.
[00:48:11] Look at Mama.
[00:48:12] So 12.
[00:48:13] I know.
[00:48:13] That's 20.
[00:48:14] So that's today.
[00:48:15] So they're open today from 9 to 5.
[00:48:17] Tomorrow they're open from 10 to 3.
[00:48:20] Monday on the 23rd.
[00:48:22] No.
[00:48:22] Hang on.
[00:48:23] You skipped one.
